The Sports and entertainment park Impuls plius introduces a novel product for Lithuania – an excellently equipped Turkish bath – Hammam.
A Hammam is a round room, where occupants lie on hot marble benches covered with towels. Heated are only the walls, floor and benches, which are sprayed with water. In this bath a constant temperature of 85°C is maintained. At almost 100% humidity and 40 to 50°C temperatures a light steam is generated, owing to which it is easy to breathe in a Turkish bath. Besides the main room there are others, where the temperature varies slightly. Following this treatment the body seems to soar, with a feeling of especial levity and tranquil contentment.
The Hammam procedures are like a ritual. First, you need to sweat in the sauna, then dive for a few seconds into boiling water and proceed to the bath. Next, on a warm marble bench, a bath attendant will wash the entire body with massaging movements using a special hand-made wash-glove. Following this treatment you are in for a soapy massage. While you are lying in lather bubbles you will have your arms, back and legs massaged – the body becomes absolutely clean, and the skin soft and sensitive. Butit’snottheendofstory. In another room, to pleasant tunes, a professional masseuse will massage the entire body. Refreshment can be found in shallow dip pools with varied temperature water, by taking shower or pouring cool water over. After such pleasant experiences the body feels like soaring, with a sense of especial levity and tranquil contentment.
